The VLDA runs a few events each year with the co-operation of its members.

These events are in addition to events (socials, workshops, classes, fundraisers and the like) that members run in their own right.

The main VLDA event is the VLDA Annual Ball usually held in Winter around the end of June. The VLDA also holds a regular Line Dance Festival at Portarlington during the Labour Day long weekend in March and a Good Friday Fundraiser dance as an official contribution to the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
